Hi, this tutorial introduced how to make a trousers for your Tux G2 with Photoshop
You can find k-net 's original tutorial in french here 1. First, save the trousers's pattern : ![]() 2. Open this pattern with Photoshop, Selection>Select all and Edition>Copy. ![]() 3. Open your tux file which will wear the trousers, place you on the folder at the top (normally the tux one), create a new folder named "Trousers", and make Edition>Past. You will rename the tracing "Trousers's pattern". Now, move correctly the trousers on the tux : ![]() Now that the trousers is placed, you have to choose a texture or color for it. Some examples of textures : -Jeans's texture ![]() -Leather's texture ![]() -Checked texture ![]() -Checked texture 2 ![]() You can create yourself a texture from a clothe photo : the size can not be under 190px * 60px. If you chose a color read the 4.a, or if you chose a texture, read the 4.b. I will continue the tutorial with the Jeans's texture. 4.a. Color for the trousers Make Ctrl+clic on the tracing "Trousers's pattern", create a new tracing named "Trousers" and fill it of the color you want. Make Ctrl+d for unselect and delete the trousers's tracing. ![]() 4.b. Texture for the trousers Open the texture file, make Ctrl+a to select all and Ctrl+c to past. Place you in the tux folder, select the "Trousers's pattern" tracing, make Ctrl+v to past. Rename this new tracing "Trousers", and place it over the pattern, like it : ![]() Make Ctrl+clic on the pattern tracing, and Ctrl+Shift+i to reverse the selection, and delete. The tracing which contains the texture has now the trousers form, and you can delete the "Trousers's pattern" tracing. ![]() 5. You could notice that the Overlord59's G2 Tux has not visible legs. So, we have to create a crotch. Take the lasso tool, and draw a selection like that : ![]() Open the Tux folder, and clic delete this tracings : "Body", "Reflection 2 body", "White mark", "Reflection 2 white mark", "Intern shadow left foot", "Intern shadow right foot". Look the result : ![]() 6. Let's talk about the belt. Create a new tracing "Belt". With the circular selection tool, make a selection like this : ![]() Choose the gradient tool. The gradient has to be reflect type. For the first ground color, insert R:91 V:81 B:71 (#5B5147) and for the second R:62 V:55 B:48 (#3E3730). Draw your gradient from A to B. ![]() 7. Do not unselect and clic Selection > Transform the selection (Be careful : don't clic "Manual selection"). Delete 9 pixels (about, it depends of your future belt wide) into Y ![]() Clic delete. Do alt+clic on the trousers tracing, do Selection > Modify > extend and put 2 pixels. Do Ctrl+Shift+i and Delete. You should have that : ![]() 8. Now we'll work with the four straps which keep the belt : Save the strap pattern : ![]() Open it, do Ctrl+a (all select), Ctrl+c (copy), go in you tux file and do Ctrl+v (past). Get back the selection of the new tracing (Ctrl+clic) and repeat the stage 4 but this time with the strap form, the tracing created will be called "Strap 1". Put this tracing like that : ![]() 9. Double clic on the tracing picture and a window appear. Go in Color Encrust, choose "Multiply" like fusion mode, put black on color and regulate opacity on 15%. Look the result : the strap is a little bit more dark : ![]() 10. Duplicate the "Strap " tracing to "Strap 4". Do Edition > Transform > Horizontal Reverse. Move this tracing to the belt other side, on the opposite of "Strap 1". Now duplicate "Strap 1" in ""Strap 2" and "Strap 4" in "Strap 3". Put "Strap 2" and "Strap 3" like that : ![]() 11. Position yourself on "Strap 4" tracing (which is the highest) and create a new tracing called "Buckle". With the Rectangular Selection tool, draw a selection like this : ![]() Put theses values for the first ground color : R:171 G:171 B:171 (#ABABAB) and for the 2nd ground : R:132 G:132 B:132 (#848484). With the gradient tool, in reflect type, draw a gradient from the selection center to the right border. Result : ![]() Forms are now finished, let's talk about reflects : 12. Select "Trousers" tracing, do Ctrl+clic on it, and create a new tracing named "Trousers Reflect". Put white in the 1st ground color. Make a gradient (linear type) (foreground to transparent) from the low to the top of the trousers. Regulate "Trousers Reflect" opacity on 30%. ![]() 13. Create a new tracing "Trousers shadow". Do a selection medium and move it, its right border has to be in the middle of the trousers : ![]() Put black in 1st ground color, take the Gradient of Reflect Type (foreground to transparent), and fill reverse case. Make the gradient from A to B : ![]() Press Ctrl+Shift+i and do the same thing for the other leg. Do Ctrl+clic on "Trousers" tracing, and Ctrl+Shift+i and Delete. Drop "Trousers shadow" tracing opacity at 50%. This is what you shoud have : ![]() 14. Select "Belt" tracing, do Ctrl +clic and create a new tracing "Belt reflect". Do Selection > Modify > Contract and put 1 like value. Put white in foreground color. Take linear type gradient, foreground to transparent, unfill Reverse and draw like this ![]() Regulate tracing opacity at 20%. 15. Double clic on "Buckle" tracing. A window appears, clic on Internal Shadow. Unfill "Use total lighting" and regulate that : opacity: 50% ; angle: -90° ; distance : 2px ; Size : 3px. 16. Create a tracing named 'Buckle reflect". With the circular selection tool, draw a selection like this : ![]() Make a gradient from white to transparent from the top of the buckle to the low of the selection. Do Ctrl+clic on "Buckle" tracing, and Selection > Modify > Contract and write 1 in the value. Do Ctrl+Shift+i and Delete. Put 75% in the tracing opacity. This is the result you have to obtain if you didn't make mistakes : ![]() 17. Select "Strap 4" and do Ctrl+clic on "Strap 1". Create a new tracing "Strap 1 Reflect". Go to Selection > Modify > Contract and put 1 pixel like contracting value. Make a gradient from A to B : ![]() Unselect (Ctrl+d) and reduce this tracing opacity at 25%. 18. Duplicate "Strap 1 reflect" in "Strap 2 reflect". Move it on the 2nd strap. Duplicate it one more time in "Strap 3 reflect". This time, go to Edition > Transform > Horizontal Reverse. Move it on the 3rd strap and duplicate it in "Strap 4 reflect" to put it on the last strap. If you did the Tee-shirt in Overlord59's tutorial, you'll have to cut it (not Overlord 19. To cut the Tee-shirt bottom, do a selection like that : ![]() Press Ctrl+Shift+i to reverse the selection, and Delete (always selecting) one by one "Body clothe", "Body clothe shadow area" and "Body clothe reflect". Do again operation if the Tee-shirt is already too low (hide tee-shirt folder to see better where the trousers stop). Finally, you should obtain something like this : ![]() Now, personalize yourself your trousers!! Again much thanks to K-net for his tutorial and his authorization. |

what you want is the *.psd file for the shirt of your Tux. which is found in another tutorial
lo que tu quieres es el *.psd para la camisa, que se encuentra en otro tuto en esta pagina |
