A few weeks late, the new version of Fedora, code name Leonidas, has been finally published in final version.
The version 11 of Fedora, the Linux-based operating system developed by the Project Fedora and sponsored by Red Hat, is now available for download.


Fedora 11 brings some updates, but also new features such as :

- Fast Boot thanks to Kernel Mode Setting of Linux kernel 2.6.29
- a new file system "ext4" uses by default
- virtualization console improvements
- a better support of video cards, including Intel and Nvidia, and additional ATI
- PackageKit improvement
- addition of the latest version of Python (2.6), RPM (4.7), KDE (4.2.3), Gnome (2.26), Open Office (3.1), Firefox (3.5 bêta)
