Wow, what happens to Google ? This is
an event rather unusual, because only just 100 days after
the launch of Google Chrome, with no less 14 updates,
Google has released the final version of their web browser, that would have already more than
10 million active users around the world.
Chrome sees its label beta remove for the version 1.0.
A rapid development of Google Chrome,
thanks to many users, whose many comments and bug reports helped to
identify and correct problems, and to improve and accelerate the development of the web browser.
This new version,
more stable and more efficient, brings many features such as :
-
more speed : Chrome starts up fast, loads pages quickly, and just keeps getting faster (the V8 engine runs JavaScript 1.4 times faster )
-
better security : possibility activating protection against phishing attacks and malware browser
-
better management of audio and video
-
bookmark manager improved : it's now easier to switch between another browser and Google Chrome with the bookmark import and export features, and there is a new simple way to manage large numbers of bookmarks
-
privacy management added
-etc. (for more information, click

Many others features will be coming soon, such as
form Autofill and RSS support and
an extension manager.
For the moment,
Google Chrome is available only for Windows, and even if a version for Mac OSX and Linux is a priority for Google, currently no date was given.
