More the development of Windows 8 is making progress, more leaks appear on the web. In fact, recently some screenshots of Windows 8, the latest Microsoft operating system, have been revealed by Rafael Rivera and Paul Thurrott.
Apparently, according to the screenshots, Microsoft is planning to introduce a ribbon style UI in Windows 8. The Ribbon user interface has been already added in Microsoft Office, the Windows Live Essentials apps and, in Windows 7, both Paint and WordPad.
In Windows 8, the ribbon function could be integrated to the Windows Explorer and thus could replace the menu and traditional toolbar in today's Explorer windows
Always according the different screenshots, we can see the new Windows 8 Welcome screen based on the Windows Phone 7 lock screen with the possibility to change the background image, to set the time, day of week, the date (month and day), and icons for power management...
Of course, these differents screenshots come from a preliminary version of Windows 8, we don't know if this ribbon interface and this Welcome screen will be really integrated into the final version of Windows 8.
So wait and see...
