There is a few weeks ago, the video plateform Dailymotion has announced the launch of their new video player. A player more ergonomic, more uncluttered with a new look all in transparency and with controls that only appear when the player is stopped or when you mouse over it.




Well, it seems that, after the recent redesign of its interface, YouTube will also launch a new video player. Perhaps some of you have already seen this new player because the new player is visible in some videos !

The new player is more dynamic, more uncluttered but also more imposing than its predecessor. The first thing that we can notice is the separation between the progress bar and "Play/Volume/Resolution" controls. The new isn't grey, it is lighter, volume control is now on the left side and horizontal.

The progress bar shrinks during playing, it grows larger when you mouse over it and the small bubble which showed the position on the video has disapeared :
