Just a little news to inform the community of Linux that Cairo-Dock team (discover here the article dedicated to Cairo-Dock) has recently launched the new version of their famous dock !

Yes, after six months of hard work, Cairo-Dock 2, code name Glx-Dock, is arrived !

A dock now 100% OpenGL for a maximum utilization of the powerful of graphic card (of course the backend Cairo is still present for people who have an older graphics card and ATI) !



So, this new Cairo-Dock version brings many bugs fixes, a better stability and new features such as :

- improvement of the interface (clearer and more ergonomic)
- new plug-ins provide many animations and visual effects : Animated icons, icon effects, illusion, drop indicator, motion blur, dialog rendering
- new applets : keyboard indicator, mail, quick browser, Toons, weblets
- a lot of new themes, old ones have been reviewed
- desklets can be rotated in 3D
