March 27, 2008, was an important date for Adobe because the beta public version of Photoshop Express was released !

At this time, on the net, everyone was talking about it ! Yes, I know, not really on CrystalXP.net but now it is done ! Here is a little summary :

First, do not expect to have a complete version of the famous photo retouching software. Photoshop Express is in reality a simple and lite version of Photoshop "online". Not need to install a software, all done online.

What you propose Photoshop Express are the basic tools to retouch your photos such as cropping, contrast, brightness, red-eye removal, saturation, white balance, changes color, distortion...

Well, you tell me that there is nothing extraordinary !

But Photoshop Express also offers to the users the possibility tocreate galleries of image and slideshows, which we can organize in album, thanks to a storage space of 2 GB for photos or images, we can share them online offering them for download from blogs or community sites like Facebook, Picasa, Photobucket.
It is simple, accessible to beginners and quick access, provided that you have the updated version of Flash Player 9.



If today, I speak to you about Photoshop Express, it is because Adobe has improved its editing tool, hosting and sharing images online. After recently added support for Flirck, new functions, but also some bug fixes, have been made :

- the addition of a software, based on the execution engine multiplatform AIR, to send new photos to our online account (the gallery, the album ...) with a simple "drag and drop"
- the import of images in a public gallery of other users is now available
- the possibility to watch your slideshows in 2D or 3D and the emergence of a soundtrack to illustrate them



- adding in the editing menu the option of "resizing" with predefined profiles for mobile phones, e-mails, etc.
- the integration of research and classification of images by keywords
- the integration of the service for storing and printing digital photos "shutterfly"



Of course, there is some icebergs :

- firstly, the service is still beta, we expect the final version
- and for the moment, the only country proposed during the registration is the United-States, then to rejoin the community of Photoshop Express you must move !

It is anticipated that the publisher offers this software in other countries and in other languages.
