Google rencently launched a new version of their famous software of management, retouching and sharing of digital photos:
Picasa 3.8.
This new version of Picasa brings some novelties and improvements, notably for face recognition.
What's new in Picasa 3.8?

a new feature named
Face Movie to create a movie based around one person both figuratively and literally. It allows you to take a stack of photos of the same person and display them in movie form in a way that keeps their faces stationary throughout the video.

Integration of editing tools and effects of Picnik, the online photo editor

the possibility to batch upload from Picasa to Picasa Web Albums. In addition to uploading multiple photos, you can now upload entire albums, all at the same time...

Picasa now supports XMP along with EXIF data. Image data is now available in the Properties panel along with places and tags

For the moment Picasa 3.8 is available only in English for Windows and Mac OS X operating systems but Google plan to roll out additional languages soon.
