Fedora 12 has been released in final version.
After the release of
Ubuntu 9.10,
Mandriva 2010 and
openSUSE 11.2, it's the turn of the Linux-based operating system developed by the Project Fedora and sponsored by Red Hat,
Fedora 12.
Codenamed "Constantine" this new version Fedora 12 comes packed with a variety of improvements, many bug fixes, new versions of some software and also some new features:
- Linux kernel

- better webcam support
- support for Bluetooth audio devices
- integration of
KDE 4.3 and
GNOME 2.28
- Empathy, an instant messenger that supports chat, video, and audio
- NetworkManager improvement
- PackageKit improvement : now it finds software for you, whether you're looking for ways to deal with files from friends or just want to explore the over 15,000 packages that Fedora provides for free.
