A little news in order to inform people who have the free operating system Ubuntu that the version of
Ubuntu 9.10, known under the code name
Karmic Koala and which the final version at the end of the month, was released in beta version.
Well, since yesterday the first beta of
Ubuntu 9.10 was available for download.
This version corrects some bugs, brings new versions of some software and also some new features such as :
- the
Ubuntu Software Center, replacing 'Add/Remove' in the Applications menu. We kindly request users to try it out, and report any bugs they find.
- the integration of
Gnome 2.28 with
Empathy which has replaced Pidgin as the default instant messaging client
- the integration of
Upstart to improve and speed up the boot of your PC
- Firefox 3.5

- Linux kernel 2.6.31
