Just two weeks after Google Chrome's birthday, Google have published
a new stable version of their web browser Chrome :
Chrome3.
A version where words "
performances, themes, Omnibox and tabs" are in favour.
Google announced a
performance gain (25% faster than its predecessor) thanks to
a Javascript V8 engine even faster. But also :
- more HTML5 support such as the video, audio and the canvas tags
- themes support to customize your web browser in one click through
a gallery (there are already 30 themes available)
- improvements of the address bar : the Omnibox adds contextual icons to help you see whether autocomplete results are suggest sites, searches, bookmarks, or sites from your history
- redesigned of the
New Tab page which is more customizable : now you can rearrange thumbnails via drag and drop and pin thumbnails you want to keep around permanently
- etc. (for more click
here)
Available only for Windows, if you want to download Chrome 3, you can follow
this way. Users of Mac OS X and GNU/Linux should still wait for a final version.
What is your opinion about this new release ? Would you be ready to migrate to Google Chrome ?
hopefully soon with working ad-block plugin..
Still prefer other browsers though.
Edit: Hmm, there seems to be a problem with the image attacher.
