Dropzone is an application for Mac OS X developped by Aptonic that aims to make your dock more effective and more practical.

This utility described by its developers as "the Swiss Army knife of drag and drop for the Mac" will allow you to launch and to automate easily several actions from drag and drop of a document, file, folder... directly to the applications icon located in your dock.

In fact when you drag a file to the application icon a menu appears with differents possibility like :

- open an application
- install applications quickly by dragging a DMG
- edit a picture via Skitch
- drop a bunch of pictures on to the Flickr Upload
- save text
- upload to FTP servers
- zip automatically files
