Cairo-Dock

Cairo-Dock is an application, based on Gnome-Dock, project which was abandoned and then has taken back by Fabrice Rey alias Fabounet, that allows you to display on your desktop a dock in the style of Mac OSX.

Available on Gnome, KDE, XFCE desktop environments, the program is functional, but constantly developing in order to provide new features, fix some bugs...

Cairo-Dock

Its latest version (1.6.2) got Cairo-Dock into the official depot of one of the largest Linux distributions: Ubuntu.
Two new plug-ins (or applets) were included : Slider and Stack. If you want to discover the list of available plug-in, click here .
In addition, the interface dock/applet has been improved (possibility of launching more than once applets) and now Cairo-Dock has its own server themes.
