Sometimes, we lose a web page after a wrong manipulation, when we answer the phone and that your little brother (your little sister or your child) goes to type on the PC keyboard, or because our stupid cat find nothing better than to settle on the keyboard to make a siesta (during you are going to the water closet).
Suddenly, for search our page, several solutions available to us, but sometimes the steps can be long and boring, notably when we use the history and we visited hundreds of pages during the day.
Here is an extension for Firefox which will allow you to
record every site that you visited during the week (just under 7 days) as the history, but
in the form of screenshots :
WebMynd.
Yes, WebMynd allows you to
view in the form of miniatures the web pages that you visited, but attention, it does not save only the image of the page, but also
its content.
Once installed, you go to the wall of pictures by clicking on the icon at the bottom right corner of your web browser.
After browsing interface, you have just to click on thumbnails in order to display the desired page or use the search function by keyword to find it more easily.
You can enable or disable the recording option and even block the registration of some sites. You can delete pages which do not interest you most and when you make a search on Google, WebMynd displays an overview of pages related to keywords.
Come on, here is a video which shows WebMynd :
Even if it is not an extension that I will use every day, sometimes it can be quite practical.
