360desktop is a free tool that allows you to extend your desktop in Windows XP or Windows Vista on a surface of 360 degrees.
Thanks to
this panoramic view of your desktop, you could enlarge your work space and you will be able to better organize it : by turning your desktop to any panoramic point, you can view your web content or all of your applications in progress ! The software can also integrate many widgets, office applications, videos, RSS feeds, games...
For better understanding it, you can see a demo
here or watch this video :
For now,
360desktop is in beta version 0.5.4 and it is currently under development.
The choice of wallpapers is limited, but in the near future, others will be proposed. Besides you could create your background at 360 ° from your favorite photos or albums online such as Flickr ... and even share your creations via various social networks such as Facebook, MySpace or other blogs.
The software runs on Windows XP and Windows Vista (32-bit only), with
a screen resolution to be greater than or equal to 1024x768.
Easy to install, it is provided with an installation manual.
I have tested it, navigation is simple, I did not see any slowdown in my PC and I found it rather fluid, however, 360desktop takes a lot of memory in function of the widgets used.
I am waiting forward to the next version of 360desktop !
