Shush! I am here incognito...Why?
I don't belong to the team of CrystalXP!!!
Today on the Great Ice-Barrier, it's quiet ! Since three days we haven't news of dlb and the other members of the team... Did they forget us ? Are they still drinking champagne in honor of the fourth birthday of CrystalXP ?
No, according to my sources they are overflowing with.... Mystery !
But don't worry, I am here... After some days of research, I have discovered the secret home where we can post news ...
Successful mission! The great feat of Enigmatux !
Why take all these risks ? Well in order to give you piece of information about the latest news of Design and Customization !
By the way, we'll start now.
Since few days, Adobe tells us a little more about its future Creative Suite 4.
First, talking about the future version
CS4 of Photoshop.
Well, Adobe has revealed almost nothing ! We know that
the version will include 64-bit support only for the Windows platform.
Adobe works too on the possibility to develop Photoshop with the use of a video card's GPU.
A prototype using the GPU was recently presented: you can work on an image 442mégapixels as if it were a 5mégapixels.
For the moment, we don't know if this new technology will be incorporated into the next version of Photoshop. But if it proves that it is truly functional, Photoshop could have a performance gain, the creation of panorama will be accelerated and news technique of 3D modeling will be used.
On the side of
Flash CS4, Adobe will bring many improvements in order to make Flash more accessible.
The creation of animations and 3D image processing will be simplified. Beyond Flash CS4 will be able to export and import a new source format based on XML called XFL.
Pending the release of the new CS4 edition,
Adobe has published three beta versions of these software:
-
Dreamweaver, Web Site and Development software
-
Fireworks, graphic design software for the web
-
Soundbooth, audio editing software for creating, polishing, editing and customizing your audio.
The new features are :
For Dreamweaver:
- Live View : View your web pages under real-world browser conditions with the new Live View in Dreamweaver - while still retaining direct access to the code. The new rendering mode, which uses the open source rendering engine WebKit, displays your designs like a standards-based browser.
- Related Files : Manage the various files that make up the modern web page more efficiently in Dreamweaver. The Related Files feature displays all the documents associated with your current page, whether CSS, JavaScript, PHP, or XML, in a bar along the top of your document.
- Code Navigator :The new Code Navigator pop-up window shows you all the code sources that affect your current selection. A click in either Code or Design view brings up the Code Navigator pop-up, which displays CSS rules, server-side includes, external JavaScript functions, Dreamweaver templates, Library files, iframe source files, and more.
- CSS best practices :The Property inspector's new CSS tab shows the styles for the current selection as well as all the applicable CSS rules. Hover over any property to view a tool tip with jargon-free English explanations of CSS principles. New CSS rules can be created and applied in the Property inspector panel and stored in the same document or an external style sheet.
- Code hinting for Ajax and JavaScript frameworks:Write JavaScript more quickly and accurately with improved support for JavaScript core objects and primitive data types. Work with popular JavaScript frameworks including jQuery, Prototype, and Spry.
- HTML data sets:With HTML data sets functionality, you can create your data in a standard HTML table, a series of div tags, or even an unordered list and then choose Insert > Spry > Spry Data Set to integrate that data into a dynamic table on the page with sortable columns, a master-detail layout, or other sophisticated displays.
- Photoshop Smart Objects:Photoshop and Dreamweaver integration has evolved to the next level of compatibility and functionality. Drag and drop an Adobe Photoshop® PSD file into a Dreamweaver page to create an image Smart Object.
- Subversion integration : Dreamweaver integrates Subversion software for a more robust check-in/check-out experience with file versioning, rollback, and more. Once you've defined Subversion as your version control system, you can update your site to get the latest versions of its pages directly from within Dreamweaver; no third-party utility or command-line interface is required.
- Adobe AIR authoring support:Create multiplatform desktop applications from your Dreamweaver HTML and JavaScript sites with new Adobe AIR authoring support.
- New user interface:Work faster and smarter across Dreamweaver and other components of the next version of Adobe Creative Suite thanks to a new level of integration and common user interface elements.
For Fireworks:
- New user interface:Switch from Adobe Photoshop®, Illustrator®, and Flash - with the ease and familiarity of universal user interface design.
- CSS and Images Export:Design complete web pages in Fireworks' robust graphic environment, and then export web standards-compliant, CSS-based layouts, complete with external style sheets in one step.
PDF export:Generate high-fidelity, interactive, secure PDF documents from your Fireworks design comps for enhanced client communication.
- Live Style improvements :Now when you update a style, all the elements the style has been applied to are instantly updated. Individual instances can break away from the style with a click of the Properties panel icon.
- Adobe type engine : Produce superior type designs with the enhanced typesetting capabilities of Adobe Type Engine, familiar to users of Photoshop and Illustrator and now available in Fireworks. Import or copy and paste double-byte characters from Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop without loss of fidelity. Float text inside a path for high impact text logos.
- AIR authoring:Create your AIR interactive prototype directly within Fireworks, ready to be deployed to HTML and CSS, Flex, or Flash.
For Soundbooth:
- Arranging audio files on multiple tracks
- Making quick edits and applying fades
- Matching volume levels with a single command
- Removing unwanted noises and background sounds
- Adjusting tempo and pitch
- Recording and polishing voice-overs
- Adding effects and filters
- Previewing MP3 compression quality
- Easily creating customized music - without musical expertise
Of course these betas are available in English only and if you don't have a license number of CS3, you can use it only during two days!
It is rumored that the CS4 should be released by the end of the year !
So, I finished off with my first news ... Go, it starts being cold on the Great Ice-Barrier, I run away....before the boss spots me !
huh?
