Elephants Dream is the world's first open movie, made entirely with open source graphics software such as Blender, and with all production files freely available to use however you please, under a Creative Commons license. The short film was created by the Orange Open Movie Project studio in Amsterdam during 2005/2006, bringing together a diverse team of artists and developers from all over the world.
The result released in May 2006 is impressive and especially totally free of downloading and use, Without exceeding the limits fixed by the license, and remixed versions of the film begin to be born :

It's advised to see the original film before seeing its rehabilitations in order to judge correctly the work of resumption.
VisualHub has also decided to choose some extracts of Elephants Dream to present his own software

Elephants Dream est le premier film open source, fait entièrement avec des logiciels libres de graphisme tel que Blender, et avec tous les fichiers de production librement mis à disposition, sous une licence Creative Commons. Le film court a été créé par le projet Orange à Amsterdam durant 2005/2006, rassemblant une équipe diverse d'artistes et de développeurs du monde entier.
Le résultat sorti en mai 2006 est impressionnant et surtout totalement libre de téléchargement et d'utilisation, dans les limites fixées par sa licence et des versions remixées du film commencent à voir le jour, comme numa-numa-english.
Il est conseillé de voir le film originel avant de voir ses réadaptations pour pouvoir juger du travail de reprise.
