A new version of Rainmeter is already available since a few weeks.
This application which allows you to customize your desktop and to display system statistics on it, statistics like a hard drive's free space or your processor's activity... but also your e-mails, your RSS feeds, weather, etc.
is now in version 1.2.
So
what's new in Rainmeter 1.2? It brings some corrected bugs, improvements and new features such as :
- Integration of a new default suite of skins:
Gnometer by Poiru.
- Introduction of
Rainstaller and the
.rmskin format to make Rainmeter much easier to distribute and install skins and suites.
- Better support Windows 7
- Fully configurable support for muiltiple monitors has been added
- introduction of a new
RainBackup utility: users can save their entire setup as a Rainmeter .rmskin file, making moving your setup to a different computer or recovering from a system crash / reinstall much easier.
- Many improvements to the default "
Enigma" suite of skins.
- The Rainmeter installer has been improved making the process quicker and easier
