A few months ago, we spoke about
BumpTop, an application that allows you to transform entirely your desktop into a 3D graphical user interface (read the article
here).
Well, now this intuitive 3D desktop
BumpTop has officially integrated multi-touch features.
Yes, recently
BumpTop was launched
in version 1.2. A version which contains some
new multi-touch features for Windows 7 in order to customize and manage your 3D desktop with your fingers :
- BumpTop uses multi-touch gestures to pan and zoom
- Dragging with two fingers on the desktop will pan the view around your desktop
- Spreading two fingers apart on the desktop zooms in
- Pinching the fingers together zooms out...
Here is a video which shows you Bumptop in action with multi-touch :
For the moment, BumpTop is available only for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 (a version to support multitouch functions of Windows 7 is under development), it requires minimum 1GB system memory. There are two versions :

a free and limited version

a paying version (29$)
If you want to create a 3D graphical user interface and customize it, I invite you to visit
the official website of
BumpTop.
