Today, I suggest you to discover two free applications for Windows Vista and Windows XP which bring a touch of Windows 7, the next operating system of Microsoft.
Based on the new features of Windows 7,
AeroSnap and
Aero Shake will allow you to mime Windows 7 management of windows.
One of the new features of Windows 7 is the possibility to easily manage your windows via Aero Snap and Aero Shake functions: you can resize, arrange or maximize your desktop windows with just drag'n'drop (with AeroSnap) or your windows can disappear when you shake your active window. Through
AeroSnap and
Aero Shake applications, you can add these new features to Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Developped by
Christian "edgi" Schoch,
AeroSnap is a simple application, still in beta version, available for multiple monitors, allowing you to drag a window to a side of your desktop to snap it or drag it to the top to maximize and when you drag it back to the last position, the last window size will be restored.
Practical to display side by side the contents of two windows and to compare them... if you want to try AeroSnap, you can click
here.
Aero Shake is an
AutoHotKey script ,released by the
LifeHacker Coders Group, allowing you to shake your active window to minimize all the other open windows, just like in Windows 7. Shake again, and the other windows will be restored.
If you want to try Aero Shake, you can follow
this way.
And for those who want also to give a touch of Windows 7 to their taskbar, you can download
Windows 7 Taskbar Iconizer to display your icons without text.
