Axialis IconWorkshop is a software of creation, change, conversion and management of all kinds of icons under Windows XP, Windows Vista and MAC OS X.

It has many tools which allow us to manage transparency, import or export files from Photoshop and Illustrator, capturing icons of other applications... You can also convert icons between MAC OS X and Windows and even automatically create icons from images.

Recently, Axialis Software released the latest version of their application IconWorkshop 6.3.

The software, which already supports the PNG compressed to make icons for Windows Vista up to 256 x 256 with alpha channel, introduced a JPEG2000-compressed image format which permits to create icons up to 512 x 512 for MAC OS X.

It is also the only icons editor which permits creation and edition of Image Strips for toolbars. Note that on Windows, icons toolbars are mainly recorded in BMP format with an alpha channel which permits to manage transparency. IconWorkshop 6.3 is able to read this particular format.

With a pleasant interface, IconWorkshop is the ideal tool for creating icons.
The only drawback is that we have a free version only for 30 days. After this time, we must pay to use it !
