HELP
If you type an expression (for instance
Windows 2000), the search engine will look for any of those words through the forum. By default, if you search for example
Windows 2000, the search engine
will return results if at least one word is found in a thread. In this example, it will find all messages with either
Windows
or
2000.
You can also make an advanced research by including
+ before the search terms.
For instance, when you type
+Windows +2000, the search engine will find all the messages with Windows
and 2000.
It will therefore find titles like "Windows 2000 sales fantastically" and "Windows 98, still alive in the year 2000"
but not "Windows vs. Linux". If you enter
2000 +Windows +98, The search engine will find messages with 2000
or Windows
and 98.
You can also make a search on an incomplete term using the
* wildchar.
For instance, if you enter
for* the search engine will find words beginning with '
for'
(FORTRAN, forum, etc).
Important: The
* can only be used
at the end of words.
You can mix all these advanced methods together for instance
+Win* +20*.
