I was thinking maybe a angel (due to some fama site where angel is: http://fama.biz.pl/
or somethin' else if you have a better idea...

Well, the Fama IM requires a mascot. The team has thinked of a angel because it
can symbolize a carrier of a text message, audio and video. With google searching for
Fama, it stumbled upon that page where that angel is. So that could be a reference or something.
But ofcourse, if you feel angel is not appropriate mascot,or you need more info, please do tell me.

No, it's not an SVG file, it's just a PSD file with vectorized layers and layers styles to give volume

Tell me if you want me to modify something to make it look better

Well, as I said, I am not a artist/designer, and looks good to me.
If you think nothing needs to be added/changed, then nothing
has to be added/changed.

Any chance you could export it to SVG so it can be freely resizable without loosing quality?
I suppose it would loose all it's layers and styles, and such then

I'll try to modify its mouth when I've got time

I don't know if I can export it to SVG, because I think (I'm not sure because I've never really been using Illustrator or Inkscape) that this vectorial format doesn't let you add a lot of effects (scuch as gaussian blurs etc ...)
But my PSD is resizable without loosing quality
