Hi all
I think I've found the cause of this ugly sidebar bitmaps

The bad quality of the side bar icons in msoeres.dll are because of the color pallete used by those bitmaps.
Just have a look at this

so I've made three types of bitmap groups for section 16 & 20 of msoeres.dll (only in Vista outlet)
So give a try with them and tell me which set is better
Try_versions__vista_.zip

Thanks alot for your help, but the toolbar still look ugly (thats the
way it usualy looks like microsoft build outlook) ...

It`s not a railway schedule or a roadmap  

Maybe outlook accept some other original ressources for the
Folder-overview, maybe we try this: see screenshot above

By the way, did someone try vista, does vista still use
outlook (ugly like this) ?

Anyway, it`s not importand to find a solution ...

Well the original resources for side bar contains only 29 color (uniform pallete)
anyway, I'll try to find something out in my remaining days at home

I only attended for the commencing crermoney it'll take about 1 week to start out studies

Well, myfriends, the time has come

I've to leave for my medical studies on Sunday morning and I won't be back till Friday/Saturday

So basically, I'm out of my all actions in Crystal XP.net for some period and believe me, It's hard for me

The problems are both arrows - there are only available as screenshot,
if it`s not possible to use icons like this use any other "grey" icons/bmp ...

Anyway, if you fall into this thread like I did, here is my take on the subject.
I just modded one of the earlier bmps I saw here.  Seems to work for me.

These are the bitmaps 130 and 131 for ..WINDOWS\system32\comctl32.dll.

Excuse the mix up.
I decided to edit image.bmp to image.png so that you would not have to click it to see it.
