Hi Neil No, it`s not me, I was searching brainslug pics You know brainslugs from Futurama ? (I´m sure we find a solution for the BMP)
| |
Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | So do I. but I'm currently involved with another request in by another member. I'll get back to the bmp thing very shortly
Breakfastclub Profil : Penguin Pro | Don't hurry - keep cool C U soon
angelparadise Profil : Penguin | hi you do a good work both. the bmp of neil is better than what we have with xp, but i'm sure you can do better with transparency. I looked in vista and the new "save as" box is totally different so it's impossible to have the bmp from vista . I'm sure neil will do something better he has done before. So i'm waiting for.
Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | Ok, I'll now try to use the default windows transparency color (R255, G0, B255) in the bmps and see what happens. Hopefully I'll give you guys an update soon
angelparadise Profil : Penguin | ok Neil we wait for the better of you
angelparadise Profil : Penguin | @ Neil, I send to you a screen of the bmp in the new office 12

Great I think you may be able to switch the bmps of that dll to comctl.dll give it a try By the way bad results came out from my previous test. Windows don't accept its default transparency color in comctl.dll so the transparency color here is RGB-192 (#c0c0c0) for this .dll Any way I've got a tricky idea now and I'm going to try that one to I'll post you the results as soon as I get them
Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | Ok Problem Solved There is no such transparent color affecting in comctl32.dll. It's just a mould over the bmp, so in order to look the background of the buttons transparent, use the exat color you have for Windows 3D object buttons in your current visual style (If you attach a pic of the current buttons with your current visual style, I'll see to create them ) and also in comctl32.dll you have to replace the bmps in 124, 125, 130, 131 inorder to get satisfactory result.
Breakfastclub Profil : Penguin Pro | Good news But the request was a vista-bmp
Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | Yes that's why I,

ofcourse, the buttons in my last picture was not for you guys. I've just made them since I'm using Crystal clear and like its style more than Vista look I need a picture of your current buttons used by comctl32.dll with your current visual style, I'll see to create them as a picture like in post #31 then I'll create the bmp files 124, 125, 130 &131

Bumpy Toi, je t'adore Profil : Penguin Pro | Hello Neil, Thanks for time that you passes for this image. But, make an image for each VS, it is not possible. I have more than 10 VS which I change regularly. I installed a special pack for the Vista icons. It misses only these icons which didn't change. I thought that one could modify this image and which exchange with the VS, as for the Windows icons of origin. I hope that you will understand what I want to say.

Yes bumpy I can understand what you're saying. Infact, I also switch VSs regulerly. So I know that this's a big hessle. I'll do further searchings and testings to overcome this and It'll take time So you'll gona have to keep patience.
Bumpy Toi, je t'adore Profil : Penguin Pro | I prefer to leave this image like that rather than to make you 10000 images. We will find a solution, each one will continue to seek. And if somebody finds the good image, he will warn us.
Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | No, Bumpy All I said was I'll find a way to use the same image with all the Visual styles without this strange differences. I didn't mean that I'll create one per Visual style
Bumpy Toi, je t'adore Profil : Penguin Pro | ok neil, sorry again for my bad english understanding. I promise that I will learn more
Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | No worries Bumpy, stay cool
Breakfastclub Profil : Penguin Pro | Hi Neil Sorry, I don`t believe that you need a different BMP for every different Visual-Style (Colour) - lot of shellpack modifys a lot of BMP`s and they work with every VS ... http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/27940418/
This is a great Shellpack too - it also modifys "comctl32.dll" and it works with many different VS in many colours - thats why the transparency is importand (I think) Have a great weekend together
Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | Thanks Breakfastclub for the link I'll try that later, And What I ment from Citation :
you need a different BMP for every different Visual-Style
|
is that if eash visual style uses diferent colors for 3d Object faces, the comctl32.dll we've done so far will completeyl show the color difference and it's very ugly that's what bumpy said. So the only solution was to make different bmp for each which I swear to god. I won't do. I'm searching for a solution even right now. but I'll give a look at your link and see if I can find something interesting And you too have a nice Weekend

I`m a graphic-newbie ... hope we find a solution for the BMP`s
Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | I'm also not a big professional Anyway I've just got some news about the comctl.dll from dlb Citation :
Hi Neil No this dll is so hard to change, because comctl32.dll is not in the same folder according to the PC configuration
|
Still I haven't tried the thing in your link but I'm gona try it anyway. I still hope there is a solution though it's hard

Good news ... Be carefull and make a backup, it`s a shellpack that change all icons to Tango (Blue/Orange), if you happy with "Crystal Clear" (like me) simply un-zip it and check single DLL`s ... Hope we find a solution, there`s no such BMP worlwide

Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil : Penguin Pro | Finally, Good results Ok dear friends, the problem regarding comctl32.dll and the transparency in bmps has been just solved. Like I said before we've been modifying the wrong version of the comctl32.dll in this thread (C:\Windows\System32\comctl32.dll) The system file in the above path only contains the classic Windows comctl32.dll version. (Not Windows XP version). And there is no such transparency. Well, the actual XP version comctl32.dlls can be found here, C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.0.0_x-ww_1382d70a\comctl32.dll C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.2600.2180_x-ww_a84f1ff9\comctl32.dll C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\InstallTemp\58602\comctl32.dll and the very important thing here is n these .dll files the 124, 125, 130, 131 bitmap sections are .png formats. So we don't have to manually select the transparency because it's done by the .png format If you're not sure yet, see my attached picture.
And ofcourse Breakfastclub & angelparadise ,I've also designed vista type .pngs for you guys and you guys can have a look If you like them as they are just post here & I'll attach the zip or If you need other modifications for them Also post here. Keep me posted. Have a nice day BTW:* Hey, I'm a Top Penguin now This is my 500th Post
Breakfastclub Profil : Penguin Pro | Nooo You`re a Super-Penguin I know there are a lot of bitmaps (124, 125, 130, 131) to change, but after all only 4 Pics are visible - as the 4 pics I like the pic above ... Thanks for all the hard work ...
angelparadise Profil : Penguin | @ Neil you have done a good work and i'm interesting to have the new graphic for the dll.
