Dear English Forum Members,

As of late, I have noticed a fair amount of spamming.  Spamming isn't just those threads promoting 'drugs' and so on, but people just posting useless things to the topic.

Now, I think having a great community vibe is important.  We have one here now, but we have to draw the line somewhere.  I'm NOT saying you can't make a joke or anything, but sometimes it's just too much.  When a thread gets full of these 'spam' type posts, it becomes hijacked.  For example, the 'How to create a Signature' topic has been hijacked.

Many people use this site to see the latest news.  They may see that the thread has a new topic, but it's only really a crummy four letter post.

Now, I know I am NOT a moderator, I am simply another user amongst the thousands of others, but I'm sure I can speak on behalf of a few people I know.

So guys and girls, if we can keep these posts to a minimum we may find out forum more attractive for people to use

To Moderators: I know this isn't in the right place, but it's where a majority of us post.

maybe they should lock this this topic down, to keep it clean and make it more like an info topic, like the CXP forum rules

No, because newbie who are trying to make this tutorial won't be able to post, so they will creat a new topic, and it's worse.
Anyway, people should know that sometimes they couldnt post jokes as if the were in MSN or IRC, but in every forum there is a cat for making free post. Here , you probably know that it's called Coconut, so when a member is free posting, just redirect him to Coconut
