Please forgive me for asking this question.......... but I cannot for the life of me remember what the procedure is for updating the Vista Rainbar. I don't know if you remove the old one and do a clean install of the newest version or download it over the old one. Can someone get back to me...I'm eager to get the 4.5 version up and running on my pc. Thanks!! :wink2: | |

If you anything before 4.5.0.0 installed, you MUST uninstall. The installer will ask you to uninstall if you haven't done so before running VistaRainbar45xx.exe 
By the way, in the future, when you update from say 4.5.0.1 -> 4.5.0.2, most of your settings will be preserved and you don't need to uninstall 
Remember to get the latest version from http://koti.welho.com/legace ---------------

The installer would've prompted you to uninstall 4.3 So you could've just run 4.5 setup and it would've asked you to uninstall 4.3 to continue.. ---------------

I have it working on my computer now! Finally the mail module is functioning and the weather is also working as it should! Great job, and congrats! Do you have plans in the future to add the option to make the slideshow bigger....the old one allowed you to more than double the size so it could placed outside of the sidebar at another area on the screen. Just curious............... I know the hard work that it takes to do something like this and I couldn't be more grateful! | |

Actually... There is a bigger Slideshow included, but there is a couple of bugs I've got to work out first. Will be fixed in the next build (which should be out in a few days)..
And when it's out, you WON'T need to uninstall. Just run the new installer, and it'll update (and keep most of your settings) ---------------

Legace thank for all of the very informative news. I just have one more thing to ask about and hopefully my doing so will benefit others.........do the skins for some of the gadgets at Deviant Art work in this version? I downloaded the glass cpu and calendar ones, and didn't want to apply them without finding out from you first if they will work with this new version. | |

Sorry for the late reply, but yes they'll work. Just copy them over to My Documents\Rainmeter\Skins ---------------
