Neil Chances are not had but gained....... Profil: Penguin Pro | Welcome to CrXP forums z0MfGBBQ You're saying that your RD application [Rocket Dock] took a long time to start since yesterday right? Did RD function normaly before that? (I mean after you've installed it) Try uninstalling and re-installing RD And keep upgrading the thread with your new findings General* Rocket Dock is a freeware by PunkLabs which cost minimal use of your computer memory [unlike Object Dock] so it's hard to be slow to start

verybizeee Profil: New Penguin | Hi All!
I am also new to this forum
I have been using Rocket Dock for a long time..
After my recent system reinstall, I am encountering a weird problem... ..when i click on an icon, it takes a really long time (4-5 secs) for the click to be recognized ..which is very annoying But, the program is otherwise, very fast.
Also, while re-installing, I installed several new programs which run on system startup.
(Here is the list:
PTFB Pro
Volumouse
MouseImp Pro
X-Mouse Button Control
Stroke It
Kat Mouse
Rainmeter
WinSplit Revolution
Handy Find
Window FX
Process Explorer
Macro Express
Direct Folders
CFD Button
Shell Enhancer
Activaid
WinFlip
Reflex Vision
Find And Run Robot
Direct Access
Word Web Pro
Everything
Clip Helper
Internet Download Manager
Foobar)
When I disable the startup of all other programs, except rocket dock, it is back to its normal lightning speed.
But, I am unable to single out a program which is conflicting Rocket Dock.
I am guessing that there are more than one programs which is causing this delay, but I am unsure.
I have even re-installed Rocket Dock a couple of times.. but, to no avail.
It would be great if someone could help me out of this..
Thanks! | |
Butch McKay Profil: New Penguin | Same problem here. Of the startup apps you listed i have direct folders too.But i disabled them once and it didn't help.Post if you find any solution.

I had the same problem for a long time, and I'm afraid to say that it is not an issue from rocketdock itself,
for any reason windows gives rocketdock a normal priority which is not the best for a tool bar we need in real time.
So if you do ctrl+alt+del, u will see the windows task manager
click on the "processes" tab
find the RocketDock.exe (RocketDock.exe*32 in xp64)
and right clik on it, choose: set priority
I have picked: RealTime
since I need to use rocketdock every single minute....
I wish I can have two different rocketdocks here since I have dual screens and three screens
with eyefinity coming soon
Yipeeeeeee......!
If like rocketdock? Man I just cant live without it
