While typing in any window, after either a few words or after a bit of time (varies) the window loses focus, and either I find the window doesn't respond (not focused) or I'm typing and nothing is happening. It took a few seconds to realise what it was.
 
At first, I thought it was Safari, which is getting slower and slower the more I use it - it's catching up with Firefox on slowness now... But my other browsers are doing the same, msn is driving me nuts trying to talk to people... and I can't figure out the problem
 
Yesterday it was working fine, but now it isn't. I've glanced through, racked my brains, but I haven't installed or changed anything over the past few days

I managed to close them all eventually, and my apps came back, though all the network connected one s(Safari, MSN) had all closed.

I had the same problem. i found a process in task manager accidentally and killed it. the problem was completely solved.
