Hey,

I am running windows vista. My computer is getting relatively old and the speakers are getting noticibly quieter. I know that it is possible to do on an iPod touch, but can you change the max sound output on vista? This would make the volume louder in comparison without the change.

If anyone has an idea like how to change a .dll file to change the volume, I would appreciate it.

Hi Kiambogo!

The *.dll`s are part of the software, your problem seems to be the hardware. I see no change to "boost" your speaker.

Are you sure you checked the speaker-settings?

Hey,

I have already checked the speaker settings and everything is normal. Comparing my note-book speakers to my brothers note-book speakers they actually aren't that quiet, so I'll just live with it. Perhaps you can help me on another issue. When I first got my notebook, I could be playing music through iTunes or some other program and when I plug earphones in it would change to play through the earphones. However, I reformatted my computer because it was getting slow, and now when I'm playing music through the speakers and plug in earphones, it says that earphones are plugged in, but it keeps playing through the speakers. It is not a huge issue, but it has been bugging me.

Thanks,
Kiambogo

How odd, mine does that though for no apparent reason, and I've found that if I mute the volume, then un-mute it it will swap to the headphones. Though I suspect it won't work in your case :/

Hmm... Well that is better then what I am doing now. I have to restart the program in order to get it to play through the headphones. I think I will give that a try. Thanks...
