(screen)Then, right-click on the wanted image, choose "Edit resource" and in the new window click on the folder ! (screen) (screen)
   For the smileys animate :
   The image must be cut out ! Like that : The number's smileys are :727  900 à 910 on the folder "PNG"The icons (away,offline,busy ,etc etc) are bitmap and in png in the folder BITMAP and the folder PNG !The number's icon (away,offline,busy)are the number 407 and 408 in "BITMAP" and 2040 , 2045 et 2046 in "PNG" !For modify the icon (away blocker,etc), it's necessary to modify the image 2059 and 2060 in the folder "PNG"For modify the icon "Add a contact" it's necessary to modify the image 2055 in the folder "PNG" For modify the icon when we we connect it's necessary modify the image 732 in the folder "PNG" Do like the smileys !!

These are just the basics of MSN Messenger skinning, modifying PNGs. A little note perhabs: changing the standard emoticons by replacing the PNGs doesn't mean they'll be displayed in the same way on the other computer. They will be seen as normal MSN emoticons. You can use StuffPlug-NG for Messenger Plus! to be able to create a custom emoticon with a MSN shortcut to solve this issue.
Also good to know: if you don't like the taskbar status icons, then change Bitmap 407.

i dont know what version of msn messenger u used, but im using messenger live, the png folder is not there in that, anyone got any idea of what to do? thnx

nvm i figured it was msn 7.5, so i managed to edit stuff, and i saved the new exe elsewhere, and i opened it, i wanted to use a custom emoticon on the screen name u know ? how people put smiley faces, i wanted to put this blue rose in, instead of the red one, the blue rose is custom, how do i do that? it's not appearing
