Hi and thanks for your patience    - I discovered your reply after I had tried to uninstall SkinStudio and I have now my theme        But I'm not quite satisfied with that the Crystal Pack changed my icons - not just the folder icons and system icons, but also the icons in the Internet Explorer and the back, front etc buttons when you open up a folder in Windows Explorer - even in Control Panel!

But the one thing I'm very unsatiesfied with is that my default screen saver has been changed - it's still called "Windows XP", but it has a penguin - the 'trademark' of the linux environment; the thing is that I liked my default screensaver the way it was; I hope I won't have to uninstall everything  

The bricopack modifies the general appearance of your windows xp.

If you do not like the modifications carried out by the chosen bricopack, you can uninstall it and try another one.  

I downloaded Vista Inspirat and man, I'm loving it - but there are a few things

a) when I open up a folder there is always slight line that is white where the blue frame is (with the "System Tasks", "Other places" and "Details"

b) I have two icons on my desktop; My Computer and My Documents - the My Computer icon is smaller than the My Documents icon! How can I change this, and even rotate the My Computer icon to the right?

And by the way, is there an icon package that I can download from here that contains more icons that have the similar style over it as the icons in Vista Inspirat? ...because, for instance, I created a folder for all my downloads, and I would love to have an arrow that points down on my folder icon

And the "Windows XP" screensaver was changed when I downloaded the Vista Inspirat ...but, oh well - I'll try to find another screensaver

I chose to use the UX-Mutli Theme patcher 5.0 to patch my uxtheme.dll file.  I followed all the instructions and double clicked my **.mssstyle file, and it loaded properly as it should have.  However, Whenever I open up Firefox ... the screen shakes (it looks more like someone is scrolling up and down on the bars really quick).  Is this a common problem or is there an easy fix which I don't know about?

The 2 Visual styles I tried using are: Inspirat and the Crystal Clear.  Please respond!

Just to warn anyone who's thinking about upgrading to Windows XP x64 SP2, the uxtheme.dll gets re-patched by Microsoft, and the Uxtheme Multipatcher no longer works to patch it back again to allow styles. Hopefully someone comes out with a new Multipatcher for us SP2 users.

the visual themes doesn't work for me because i dont have the windows theme file so where can i get it

Hello CrystalMSN, I am awfully sorry to bug you, I have become a member of CrystalXP.net and I have recently installed Crystal XP which so far has proved to be the best operating system that I have ever used although I am at a loss as to what add-ons that I am able to use, some XP Pro screensavers and the like do not want to work and upon trying some of the Crystal XP themes on XP Pro they do not load up the same way leaving things out, I have been all over Google trying to find out any information that I can but all I can find with anything to do with Crystal XP is this site forums that I have been through and seem to focus on Vista. Do I have to use Vista add-ons and software or what? I know Crystal XP is different but what actually is the difference to XP Pro? I don’t expect you to give me all the do’s and don’ts but any information or pages or web sites so I can read up would be most helpful.

So, since I'm extremely nervous about these things.  I have the Crystal Clear Bricopack installed and I want to use the Vista XP VISUAL STYLE, I wont need this patch and can just download the Vista XP style, correct?  Also I didn't install the Bricopack in the safe mode, will this affect the downloading of the Vista XP VISUAL?

The Bricopacks automatically patch Windows' original uxtheme.dll file with their installation , since the Visual Style attached with the pack is not digitally signed by Microsoft so the patching of uxtheme.dll is obvious for their application , after that you don't need to run the patcher again for applying the 'Vista XP visual style' .

The installation of any bricopack in Normal-Mode won't affect any visual style , installation of bricopacks in safe-mode is considered to be the recommended way , so in future ,remember to switch your windows in Safe-mode before installing/uninstalling any bricopack .... Welcome to CrXP

Just one short question; Is it possible to somehow fix the Rocket dock, that doesn't disappear, when i hit "show desktop"(near start)?

Otherwise i have no complain about Vista Inspirat 2. It's great!

No, sorry, it isn't possible because it like a windows and show desktop minimize all the windows on the desk. Do you understand me ?

He he, of course I understand! I noticed that immediately, and it (was)is pretty disturbing...

what a pity!

From my point of view, this is the one and only (major) flaw of vista inspirat2...
Could we expect some corrigendum in this direction?

StyleXP is not a free program but if you want to pay for it then go ahead , I would rather prefer the UXTheme-Patcher for using Visual Styles .... Welcome to CrXP BTW

Thankyou   , but when i downloaded the Style XP Update i did not have to pay for it, it is free unless you pay for the main program. the update is free and once downloaded the program opens up and you can change visual style straight away on the 'Visual Styles' tab.

   i  am new to this forum.i had installed  crystalxp MAC theme in my pc.i  want to learn how to create the the menus displayed in the desktop for eg "Mycomputer ,COntrol Panel , My documents etc". how to create such things. I think it's created without using flash.That's what made me more interesting..

Anyone would like to share their views is most appreciated.

They called "docks", above it`s Roketdock and this is Object Dock, you will find lots of different skins for both docks
