Hello, I'm interested in the creation of a new Tux, made by myself.
This is due to the license restrictions of contents of this web page. Do you know something about GPL or Creative Commons?
It would be more than great news :happy2: that the images were freeded under any of those licenses, like the original, I think you can read it in tux'n'tosh.
Also, I think, it could be, that you're violating it original license due to that you don't distribute with the same license.

I can't afford  :frown: any of the adobe software, like photoshop, because I'm a student, and a free software user. The Gimp is a totally free program very similar to photoshop. That's why, as I'm not a designer, I would like someone try to make a tutorial about the creation of a wonderful tux like any of the others anyone can see in this page. :great:  :great:

Yes, there are tutorials for the GIMP for making Tux  .  They are in french though, but anyway here is a list of tutorials (the ones with the little GIMP logo are for GIMP): http://www.crystalxp.net/tuto/fr.htm  It would be much appriciated if someone would translate them.  In the meantime, if you do not know French, you can try a translator like Google Translator: http://www.google.com/language_tools

UPDATE: Or you can try following the Photoshop tutorials as is in a deriative of the GIMP, GIMPshop.  It is the GIMP made similar to Photoshop and the site says you can use GIMPshop to follow most Photoshop tutorials as-is.  I'm trying it out right now.

Hope this helps you!   :penguin:
