Maybe it was temporary, it loads fine here I don`t think that all settings from your browsers are wrong, try again please...
poiru Profil: Moderator | deviantart.com seems to have damn slow servers. The thumbnail generation takes ages for me, and sometimes the whole page won't work. I doubt its a problem with your computer. Its just dA

codenamem2k Profil: Big Penguin | Perhaps it maybe because of your net speed... I am using 2mbps braodband, and it works fine

I've used dA on speeds from 512KB/s to 100MB/s and sometimes it works fine, but sometimes its very slow. I am pretty sure its not the speed of the net, but the sluggishness of the dA servers.
Asher Genius is not born , it is made.... Profil: Moderator | Sometimes I encounter the same problem but not always , I suspect that's either because of network problems from my side or server problems from DA's side
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | For HTML browsing, once you achieve a certain bandwidth (not speed), it really doesn't matter if you increase it any more. For example, the size of this page is 12.03 KB. Now let's say you're bandwidth is 128Kbps. That equals 128/8 = 16KBps. So, your page should load in three quarters of a second. Now let's say you're internet bandwidth is 512Kbps. This equals 512/8 = 64KBps per second. This time, your page should open in about 175 milliseconds. Subsequently, if your bandwidth is 2Mbps, than the page should have opened in 40 milliseconds! Wow, that's a huge leap from 175, isn't it? Not really... For humans, it is very difficult to notice changes below 200ms. So, to your brain, a change that occurred in 175 milliseconds is pretty much the same as the change that occurred in 40 milliseconds. My point: Bandwidth above 512 Kbps does not make a difference for HTML browsing. What really makes the difference is the arrangement of the servers and the wiring. If the servers are slow, or if your ISP uses crappy bronze wires, your internet's speed will be slow -- no matter what your bandwidth is. The time taken to transfer even these minute amounts of data will increase. You can check the actual quality or speed of your connection using ping. Click on Start>>Run. Type in ping [website IP] -t (For CrystalXP: ping 87.98.187.100 -t) . In the prompt that opens, you should see a response time in milliseconds. The LOWER this response time, the faster your connection. Typically, a high speed connection should have ping below 150ms.
