Hi, recently I've noticed that file sharing applications on my laptop won't work anymore. I can't get uTorrent working ever since I updated it to 1.8.1. Is this normal from the update by any chance. Ive made a firewall excpetion but it didn't work.
The only thing I've found that could help is that AVG is blocking my network adapter, this could be a problem.
The help file says that "all adapters are marked as unsafe as default" but does that mean if I mark it as safe it will just let every virus ever created into my computer?
Also it says this problem is sometimes caused by uTorrent.com being blocked, how would I add an exception for it?
Sorry about the possible legal issues in this thread

No, I have the full version of AVG 8, the free version doesn't have the firewall as far as I know?
Thanks anyway for the idea of looking on the website, googling it didn't help much  :fouet:
What I'm trying to get across is whether marking the adapter as safe will turn off all of the protection if I use the internet on it.

I'm pretty sure that AVG has an option somewhere for trusted networks. Just add your card there and it should work

Thanks again, by looking around more I think the problem lies elsewhere in the actual IP settings and such, I'll get some IT guy to have a look at it.
