I have downloaded the vista live theme from http://fediafedia.deviantart.com/art/Vista...ows-XP-64466560  i just clicked on the the windows visul file and the computer changed the theme but when i restarded the computer everything was windows xp classic theme what is the other file in this folder like shellstyle.dll most you do anything with that heeelp????

i did everything but when i go in apperence its not there i did everything but when i was writing%systemroot%/resources/themes a internet tab opens with yahoo serch but insted i find the folder in c/windows/reources/themes and i put the sheel and theme file but then when i pasted it and then later go in apperence its nothing off that there whats the problem please help it whas soo nice color now its gone!!

Open the start menu, press run, write:

explorer "C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes"

and press OK.

Then paste the unzipped theme there.

It will work if you do it right.

i wireted but when you write the expoler first in the text it dont find anything but when you just write "C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes it find and i do the same thing the theme is still not in apeerence...???

You should make sure that the .msstyle file in the folder (that you have placed in "C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\") has the same name as that of the folder

it not working here is the information it a folder in it is Windows Visual Style File its the theme when you click on it you get the theme and its another folder on the left and the name of the folder is shell and in that folder is a file named like this shellstyle.dll and i go in "C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes then i put the folder with the shell file and the Windows Visual Style File then i close the tab and go in propites then in appearence then i look in winodws and buttons and it just windows xp style vista inparant 2 crystal xp and windows classic style but the windows live blue pack its not there the theme its not there:frown:  HELP ME PLEASE and i noticed that your pakistan very nice my friends are from there iam self iam born in sweden and live there but my parents are from iran Allah hafiz

Then unzip, and copy paste the folder into the Resources/Themes folder. Then IT WILL work.

Here is a quick tuto to go

1. Unzip the visual style folder in to C(Your OS drive)\Windows\Resources\Themes

2. Go inside the unzipped folder (C(Your OS drive)\Windows\Resources\Themes\Live Blue\Visual Style) and see for the name of the .msstyle
It is 'VistaLive Blues'

(The 'Shell' folder is inside this don't need to open it )

3. Right click on the .msstyle file and select 'Rename' and copy the file name using Ctrl+C or Edit>Copy (or just remember it )

4. Go 'Up' on your folder (C\Windows\Resources\Themes\) and there Rename the new unzipped folder (Visual Style)of your visual style with the one that you've copied from the msstyle (Simply Rename 'Visual Style' in to Vista Live Blue' )

5 Cut & Paste The VistaLive Blue (renamed 'Visual Style' Folder in C\Windows\Resources\Themes directory

5. Now go to Desktop>Display Properties>Appearence & see for the visual style

It should be there

the thing is its just not the shell and the theme file its a zip with  uxtheme multi patcher wallpaper viorb vista live styler toolbar vistart and visual style and in visual style there is the sheel folder and theme file ?? now i most make the folder of them to a zip??

Most i rename it to .msstyle ??

Go to C\Windows\Resources\Themes\Vista Blue

Cut the 'Visual Style' Folder and & paste it in C\Windows\Resources\Themes\ path

Rename That Folder in to 'VistaLive Blue'
