What is FlyakiteOSX?
In short, FlyakiteOSX is a tansformation pack for windows user to transform the look and desktop theme of your Windows XP+ system to the look of Mac OS X.
Is FlyakiteOSX Free?
Yes. FlyakiteOSX is free and you do not need to pay any fee to download the software.
Is FlyakiteOSX Safe?
Yes. FlyakiteOSX contains no spyware or adware installed. Millions of users have downloaded this software pack into their own operating system without problems. In any case you found out FlyakiteOSX is not suitable for you, you can remove it anytime you want.
What Requirements are needed to Install?
To install FlyakiteOSX, you need the following operating systems:-
- Windows XP (Home, Pro, RTM, SP1, SP2, Corporate)
- Windows 2003 (Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, Web, RTM, SP1)
- Windows Media Center Edition (2003, 2004, 2005)
- All Language Versions
- Does NOT work with 64 bit versions of Windows!
How Do I Install FlyakiteOSX?
Installing the program is easy. Simply download the package from this download page. This file is 25.8 MB in total so it might take a while for 56k connection users to download. After you have finished downloading, follow instructions from the setup wizard or these few steps listed below.
-Make sure that you have enough disk space to install the program.
-Execute FlyakiteOSX3.0.exe
-Choose your language preference. There are currently over 42 language preference for installion.
-Read and Accept the terms.
-Check the components you would like to install. Default (Create Restore Point, System Files, Extras, Skins, Registry Tweaks) is recommended and will take up 191.8MB of space but you will get the full features. However, you can also customize yourself by ticking off the checkboxes.
You can also choose to customize the MSN Messenger skins for version 7.x Skins. Note that the skins are still not compatible with MSN Messenger 7 Final .
-Choose extra softwares such as RK Launcher ( Allows visually pleasing bar at the side of the screen that is used to quickly launch shortcuts), ObjectDock ( Lets you organize your short-cuts and running tasks onto an extremely customizable dock that sits on your desktop), WinRoll, iColorFolder and Y'z Shadow. Recommended to choose RK Launcher and all three of the above.
-Click Install and you are done. You have to restart you computer after the installation is done.
I See Error Messages During Installation
If you encounter error messages during installation, there is nothing to worry about if the final installation is complete and a message pops up to ask you to reboot your computer.
How do I customize FlyakiteOSX
After successful reboot, you will see instantly your new desktop theme in a Max OS X mode. Besides, you can customize your FlyakiteOSX by going to Start Menu > All Programs > FlyakiteOSX > FlyakiteOSX Settings. Current version allows you turn or of turn off the settings such as OS X Cursors, Iceman Sounds, Flurry Screensaver, Panther Visual Style, Tiger Visual Style, ObjectDock, RKLauncher, Y'z Shadow, WinRoll. You can also change the sizes of the icons from 32 to 128. This step requires reboot though.
How do I Uninstall the Program?
Removing the software pack is as easy as 123. Go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Add or Remove Progams and find FlyakiteOSX. Click on Remove and follow the instructions.
HELP! My Computer is Screwed Up After Using FlyakiteOSX!
If you encounter error messages after removing the programs or after using the program, need not panic as everything is reversible. This program automatically creates a restore point where you can restore everything to an earlier time, before you installed the program. Go to Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Click on Restore My Computer to an earlier time and choose the date in bold. This process will restore your computer system to an earlier time before you installed FlyakiteOSX.
