| boarderboiz Profil: New Penguin | I installed the "pack-vista-inspirat-2-1.0.exe" onto my xp SP3 without safe-mode, after installing, I pressed ok and my comp went to reboot. Upon rebooting, I got this fatal error with blue screen not remembering what the words are except i saw FATAL ERROR , COMPUTER HAS BEEN SHUTDOWN. my windows can't startup no matter how many times i reboot. So I went to safe-mode and uninstall "pack-vista-inspirat-2-1.0.exe". After uninstalling, I started normally and it still gives me the same problem and I can't even get my comp to be started so i had to system restore. After restoring my windows worked, then I went to safe-mode and install the "pack-vista-inspirat-2-1.0.exe" again and reboot normally and still got the same error. So I had to restore system AGAIN. how do I fix this problem and run the installation successfully? | |

boarderboiz Profil: New Penguin | okay, & thanks for the reply on your sticked thread altho it didn't helped me.
AndyQHW Profil: New Penguin | is it a modified xp install (ex nlite, tinyxp etc) and/or 64bit? if so, bricopacks won't work if not, than try redownloading. that error never happened to me

64bits as in the settings tab in the properties right? If it is, mine only have 16 and 32bits doesnt have 64bits. I've check around this forum, Apparently I'm the only person getting this error which means my comp is not compatible with the bicropack? But my system meets every requirement for the bicropack. It seems that this error is a hard disk error.

No, the thing in the settings tab tells the colour (not the architechture). To see if its 64, open the start menu, right click My Computer, select Properties, and you should see if its x64.
boarderboiz Profil: New Penguin | I did that and it doesn't show how many bits. so is my computer compatible?
boarderboiz Profil: New Penguin | thanks alot. its 32bit. and the problem is unsolved.
poiru Profil: Moderator | Do you have any other packs installed?
boarderboiz Profil: New Penguin | nope. the only one I have is just VS.
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | Hi, usualy it should work fine in safemode Maybe try to install another shellpack/bricopack? Edit: Quote :

|
The other shellpack works?
celiothrkn Profil: New Penguin | I have a 32-bit XP Pro SP3 installed. Then I downloaded and installed Vista Inspirat 2. I rebooted like it asked me to. Now I have a blue screen too with the same message(s).
Has anyone managed to resolve this? I can still access my XP from Safe-Mode.
celiothrkn Profil: New Penguin | By the way, I had installed Bricopack under Express mode because I needed to run it as lightweight as possible.
I just booted into Safe Mode and uninstalled Bricopack Vista Inspirat 2. After uninstallation, it asked me to reboot. However I still have the blue screen, even without the Bricopack.
The error message reads:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of ...................
The system has been shutdown.
According to MS, it means there's something wrong with either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe. I've just run Dr. Watson for Windows. It seems there's a problem with my winlogon.exe. The specific error reads: winlogon.exe c0000005 uxtheme!GetThemeColor(5AD746D2) as the problem. Any ideas how to resolve this? Does that mean I need to reinstall my uxtheme?

celiothrkn Profil: New Penguin | OK. I've resolved this problem! For anyone's future reference, this is how I did it:
As Dr. Watson suggested, my blue screen was caused by a uxtheme error in winlogon.exe. The solution is to replace the uxtheme.dll file located in Windows\System32. I downloaded the Uxtheme Multi-patcher 6.0 and loaded it onto a USB flash drive. I booted into my XP SP3 under Safe Mode and installed the Uxtheme Multi-patcher 6.0, which gave me a new uxtheme.dll file. I've now restored my Windows "GUI."
