Is it possible to assign hot-keys to the links in rocket dock?

I have been searching google a lot about this and other customisation sites, i just want to know if it is possible.

Thanks

No, I don't really see how you could do it. The default options of Rocketdock don't allow hotkeys anywhere and it's almost entirely mouse operated anyway. Maybe it's possible with some customisation but it would be risky.

You can't apply hotkeys to the links in RD, but you can assign them to normal files. Just right click a exe/lnk file and select properties and you can assign a hotkey there

i'm new to rocketdock and love it!!

one thing i would like to see is a single hotkey (like the windows button) to make rocketdock visible (if layering is set to normal) if you work in full screen mode. i have tried ctrl+tab but the it's not working.

it would be much faster than minimize the full screen app to a size that the dock is visible again...

maybe this is possible and i'm just doing something wrong?

anyway, this is a great program - keep up the good work!

i have written a smal script using autohotkey. pressing F12 will bring up rocketdock...

now i can work with full screen and just press F12 to see rocketdock!NOW IT ROCKS...

if something like this could be integrated in one of the next releases, that would be great!

if anybody is interested, i can post the script...

oki doki, here you go....

  • copy the 3 files (rocketdock.exe, rocketdock.png, rocketdock_on.png) into a program directory
  • make a shortcut from rocketdock.exe to the autostart folder or start the program manually

if the program has started, you see the rocketdock icon in the systray.
press F12 to make rocketdock appear, if you work in full screen mode.

remember, no warranty is given - you use the program at your own risk!    ;)

Thanks gr8, this is exactly what i was looking for

they should definitely implement this feature in future versions of RocketDock...

i wanted to use a different hotkey than F12, perhaps a side button on my mouse... and maybe i'd get rid of the tray icon too, my tray is already pretty crowded.

would you be comfortable also sharing your .ahk file and writing a few lines on how to "recompile" it properly?

that would be great!

thanks again,
Mat
