So, i was looking for a program or plugin for opera to block ads on sites, as they started to annoy me, especially the animated ones with sound. Luckily i stumbled onto a site that showed you how to make a CSS file to do that job.

All you have to do is put the file in the styles folder in Opera located here:

Linux users:
Home folder/ <Username>/ .opera (Ctrl+H to view hidden folders)/ styles/ user

Windows users:
C:/ program files/ opera/ styles/ user

Then open up opera go to view -> Style -> Adblock.css

Styles File attached

Enjoy

Adblock.css

Hey finally!

I'm one of those people fated with windows, so I'll verify that directory.

Also people should right click the download link and choose "Save Linked Content As" or something similar, as simply clicking it seems to open the style sheet, and that would scare most people

EDIT: Yep the directory is correct! They aren't hidden or anything, and you might need admin permission to move the file there, I know I did.

You need to close and re-open Opera if you had it running when you moved the CSS file. Annoyingly.

No, I can't see the adblock css file in the View>Styles menu  :err:

And also for some reason Opera isn't loading all the pictures on the pages, it will load some, most very slowly and will then just give up and stick a little box with "image" in it. And I know it isn't my web connection or my computer because Internet Explorer is showing the pictures fine...  :ouch:
