I have noticed that when I open the new "My Computer" symbol from "menu/start" the folders and icons are displayed in the new Vista format, ok. However, "My Computer" in the "Docking Bar" above displays the old XP type folders and icons. I have tried from "menu/Start" copying the new "My Computer" and inserting it in the "Docking Bar",  but still it shows the old type XP folders and icons. Is there a way around this please?

Delete your iconcache, download TweakUI (from Microsoft, right side), install it and at the bottom you have the option "REPAIR", chose repair icons (reboot) ...

I used TweakUI some time ago too, but after I clicked an option all my icons looked like Windows 98

Is that the same option?

Usually C:/Documents and Settings/Username/Local Settings/Application Data/IconCache.db, it`s hidden, make hidden files/folder visible.
