hi all,

I have install the Vista Inspirat 2 bricopack. So far, great job guys !
The only issue I encountered was concerning the DPI setting when set to 120 DPI from the Display properties General panel.

- It is then impossible to resize a window from the top bar (only the corners work).
- Also, the top right corner buttons are messed up.

Any clue or fixes ?

Cheers,

Hi Niakoue !

You mean this ?

From the image you provided [click here], the problem seems to be that you have selected large fonts..
Try this, and tell me if it solves the issue

Go to your desktop.
Right click :ar: Properties :ar: Select the Settings tab :ar: Press the Advanced button :ar: Select normal font size :ar: Press OK :ar: restart your computer and it should be fine

Or this:

Setting your DPI

  1. Go to Display settings, click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
   2. Click the General tab, and read it.
   3. Choose your DPI (72,mostly 96,120)
   4. OK out of the dialogs and reboot

Thanks Breakfastclub for the fast answer,

Effectively, what you describe as in the attached picture are the symptoms of my problems.

Thanks for the 2 workarounds, indeed, it works with "normal size" fonts.

The problem is that "normal" fonts are too small for my native laptop 13" screen in 1980x1200. That is why I'd like to set them to 120DPI (either of the 2 ways you describe).

Do you know if there is (will be) a corrective patch ?

Cheers,

You could try other Visual-Styles.. Some styles may have support for 120 DPI.

indeed, good suggestion.
any good links for the best "Vista-Like" visual ?
the best I could find so far that seems to support 120 DPI is at
deviantart Royale Vista VS

Any better suggestion ?

It is a bugger that the Inspirat 2 VS does not support 120 DPI ...

have a good day all
