hey folks,
i got another problem!

http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/2694/projekt1rd2.jpg

The Solitair Link isn't working any more. i uninstalled the program, same goes for the steam one. now i wanted to remove them from my startmenu, but when i click on "remove from list" nothing happens, it's still there. somehow i also got that problem with more icons who are longer in my startmenulist. for example the "my music" link can't also be removed by clicking on "remove from list".

i guess that the icons for startmenu are saved somewhere, but i don't know where etc blabla...

in short: can you help me to remove them? plssss :frown:

many thanks
your flipsy

Hi flipsy !

With Xp-Professionel try:

Click "Start", choose "Run", type gpedit.msc, choose "benutzerkonfiguration" and "administartive Vorlagen", "Startmenü und Taskleiste" (here you can delete it)

Or use windows-explorer and browse to:

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu for individual users, or
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu for all users collectively.

(There are folder/files from the start menu)

well first of all thanks for the tipps! but i'm using xp home, so the first one does not work.

and i already knew about that second one.. maybe there's a misunderstanding, sorry. i did not mean the startmenu itself but these "startmenu favorites"... therefor i need some help.

but thanks again!

Does the same problem persist in other user accounts too?I think your current user account is the real cause of the problem :he:

the MRU icons should be in:
C:\Users32\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs\System

*edit*
hang on, that's not correct.
I have a start menu\programs\system folder, and apparently the shortcut in the MRU list is the shortcut that's inside the start menu\programs\*
At least, that's how it appears when I go to right click -> properties -> general tab

Maybe it has something to do with your Vista-like skin

You`re from germany ? There are some guys with this problem - google find 100 more, seems to be a bug in XP ...

Zitat:
HKEY_USERS\[individuelle_User_ID]\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage\
