I installed Service Pack 3 and since it was necessary to update the uxtheme.dll anyway to get the old style back. I googled for a new one and found Crystal XP.
It looks great but it seems that the Bricopack doesn't allow my notebook to enter suspend 4 mode. (Suspend to Disk aka Hibernate)
Is there a way to keep the new Style and get Hibernation back or shall I uninstall the whole thing again.
I shutdown or restart my System once or at max 3 times a month. I don't understand why people start the whole System everyday considering how long it takes. Ergo I really need the hibernation.

Restarting takes around 30 seconds till I see the desktop but than 1 minute or 2 till all the services, little progs in the background and the programs I actually intend to works with are loaded.

Wakeing up from Hibernation takes 10 seconds and everything is already loaded, all the programs I need are still open and it needs the same amount of power (zero). 10 seconds vs 90-160 are big difference IMO.

The only reason I still restart sometimes is because some stupid updates or aninstallation demands it.

I installed the 16mb CrystalXP Pack in the normal mode and than I restarted once. Everything worked perfectly well. Just when hitting the hibernation button, for around half a second the display turns blue and says its preparing to shut down and then there is the Desktop again and nothing happens. It stops the whole process before it really started.

You installed an old Bricopack in normal mode, I would suggest to install the new Crystal-Clear in safemode (press F8 during bootprocess). You need to uninstall CrystalXP-Pack before, in safemode ...

I was talking about the Crystal Clear Pack. No Idea why I wrote Crystal XP.
I will try the installation in Safemode again.

Update: Thanks a lot. This time hibernation works like it should.
