| tekmosis Profil: New Penguin | I'm new to here, so I hope this is okay to post here. Basically, I have tried this before when I was aiming for the whole Mac OSX look, I wanted the system tray icons from Mac. But I have a different theme now, but I'm looking for some white Mac OSX system tray icons to use. However, I have no clue how to replace them with the default program ones. I asked on another forum, where they told me to use Flyakite, but it never worked for me. I know you can do it using Reshacker but I don't know how.. Now, I was hoping somebody could supply me with a rar full of the icons I described (if not, dw, I can find some) and could somebody explain to me, step-by-step how to do this, please? I'd really appreciate it. | |
poiru Profil: Moderator | Which icons do you wish to change? EDIT Here is a link you should check out: click here
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | Hi Tekmosis ! Why Flyakite don´t work for you ? Trayicons are special, they are 16*16 pixel and they included in systemfiles (you need Reshacker to edit the files) ... Please make a screenshot of what you want ...
tekmosis Profil: New Penguin | I don't know why it doesn't work tbh. Okay, well I have Reshacker. Because I have a black task bar theme on my computer, I would like white icons if possible.. This is what my taskbar is like now with the MSN icon and AVG icon. I would like those in white, obviously not exactly, but in a mac sort of theme. Much like these.. they're not the same icons, but that style.
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | If you like the MAC-Look I would try it again, it`s a great Mac-Transform-Pack, secure too (and change tray-cions too) ... (Start your PC in safemode (press F8 during bootprocess) and install the Flyakitepack - uninstall it in safemode too) This is the most easy way, to edit your systemfiles and change the icons is not that easy for newbies in systemfile-customizing

tekmosis Profil: New Penguin | But, I don't want the whole theme, I only want the system tray icons ):
God Of Mana Profil: Penguin | Res Hacker seems like the best choice. Once you have learned how to do it, you can request the icons in the graphic request form of crystalxp.net
tekmosis Profil: New Penguin | Right, that's a good idea, thanks. So. Could anybody help me achieve this using Reshacker? Please.
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | Here and here are tutorials how to use Reshacker - beware of doing something wrong, changing systemfiles can crash XP ... (and you need to find the new tray-icons you want, they are not included in XP-Files)
simon8400 Profil: New Penguin | Maybe Finderbar can help you out? You could also try Objectbar which has the function to import a WindowBlinds skin so the bar would look even better, but as it is no freeware i should try Finderbar first. You could also try to follow this tutorial.
