could use a lil bit a help here.. had crystalxp installed then installed another pack, after install no wallpaper is displayed, only the theme color, i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling  but cant get it to work

Righ-Click on your desktop and select Properties.Now Click on Desktop Tag above and apply the wallpaper from the list.

thanks man but no go, it didnt work.. at this point i have uninstalled crystal just to get back to my normal settings.. what i have is my selected wallpaper but it is hidden beneath the color chosen for my desktop

Yep... This happens to me all the time.

What I do is change the wallpaper to a stock image, e.g, 'Bliss' and apply it.  Then select your previous wallpaper from the folder (eg, My Doccuments)  it's in, not via display properties.
