Hi, im new to this kind of thing so I dont really know what im doing

But how can I change the icons in the Dock? For example, FireFox just appears as a white sheet with the IE logo on it. I have downloaded some Icons for Firefox and MSN Messenger amongst others but I dont know where to put them

Any help is appreciated. thanks

I'm sorry but there are two different docks available but as for your title, I think you're using Object Dock with Vista Inspirat.

So here is what you have to do,
Right click on the dock item you want to change the icon and go to 'Dock Entry Properties'
Then in the dock properties window, you will see a button named 'change image' (Just below the current image preview) click it and a change image window will appear.
There, chosse 'browse' to navigate to your desired icon or png file and clcick OK. then Ok all windows and you'll get a new icon for the item in your dock

first of all i wanna convey my serious thanks to neil ! he has suggested realy a fine method ! if u have installed crystal cear pack then the dock icons will be same as seen on the desktop! theres no need of any kind of modification !

I think MadridMike has installed Vista Inspirat, not Crystal Clear

for me it says icon settings and when you click it there's no icon that I want! so I clicked on get more and downloaded some icons but I cant choose one of the new icons pff!
