guys please help me i bought recently satellite A300-1J1 which is currently running windows vista home premium 32 bit .
the problem is my usb port is not working i guess so because my two pendrive thats transcend JF V30 2gb and 4gb is not working under there.i cant delete file or even copy file to my pendrive.before it was ok but don't know what hapened then.atfirst i thought there might be a problem with my pendrive but it is not.
i also tried with my friends kingston pendrive even that also is not working i am trying to delete or send file to my pendrive its flashing out on screen that disk is write protected.
i cant even format my pendrive.
but both my pendrive and my friends pendrive works well in my friends notebook which is asus and that under windows xp
 
so actually i am really confused is it my usb port is out of order or its something to go with my vista.as i am student i always need this pendrive.
but as my usb is not working i dont know what to do.
please guys help me out.
is there any solution please let me know.
by the way i got no locking switch in my pen drive.

Does any other usb thing work (like mouse, keyboard, etc.)

everything is perfectly ok but dont know what hapened with my usb.......

its not working legace.........that microsoft update is not working in my system  and  none of my usb hub is showing yello signalz.......

If you recently bought it, then why not take it to the shop you bought it from..? They probably will be able to fix it

Check for dirt or if there is anything in there that might be keeping the drive from connecting. If there dirt in the port try goingblowing compresse air in the port you shouldbe able to pick some up at staples or your office supply store. They come in a spray paint kind of can. This hapened to me before. Just becarefull with the air spray in bursts not full on, and the fumes can be stinky.
