Hi there. I have tried many times finding the best transparency tweak for WIndow XP to be transformed into Vista. I have checked out this tweak from Crystal XP

http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/e [...] -tools.htm

But just wondering if there is an addon that adjusts the font, I mean its hard to read "title" of the windows.

I currently have Inspirat 2.1.0, been using it for some time.

What I really want my PC to becomes is something like

http://www.crystalxp.net/forum/mesimages/211529/RealVistaFont.png

In comparison to

http://www.crystalxp.net/forum/mesimages/211529/TrueTransparency.jpg

which is blurred, and physically blurred, the font isn't as clear as I expected to be. I am not whining about the quality, but I just want to know does any one out there have another truetransparency or aero theme whatever that can bypass this lousy fuzzy theme still having the transparency of seeing the background on the 'edge' of the window.

I have tried that 9.0.1 Vista Transformation Pack which fails to work...and does not even reach anything close to Vista Inspirat. So I decided to keep Inspirat on while then...can I please have some help?

Also, can I know how to keep track of this post?

http://www.crystalxp.net/forum/mesimages/211529/RealVistaFont.png

Vista Transformation PAck 9.0.1 (not working)

You can edit the skin.ini file to change or remove the glow around the text (the line with GlowColor).

skin.ini file?

Where do I get that?

I see the TrueTransparency.exe

and there is config.ini

And yes I do see a folder called "skins" but nothing skin.ini...

Ok wait I found it

But what should I change it to??
C:\....TrueTransparency\skin\Aero\Normal\skin.ini

I have this
GlowColor=255,255,255,250

What should I modify to take off the glow and have a good visibility?

I you don't want glow, you can remove the line. Or you can try another color, the format is Red, Blue, Green, Alpha.

Yeah, that would seriously reduce the glow.

Well I woudn't say that did not fixed the glow... I tried modifying to 0 and it still worked xD

Well it's ok to use for some while, but is there a better transparency that could probably work closer to the Vista one? I mean would there be another Transparency software...?

I thought you were talking about the ugly glow around the text.

You can already change the font if you don't like it.

Errm then what is the font that the Vista screenshot is using?  :err:

And how do you change it ? I know Microsoft word....but not changing the whole XP theme....as applying fonts in every windows...I don't know how.

Are you saying right click on desktop > appearance > font size > choice???

Well I only have

Tahoma
Calibri
Arial

Basically they pretty much look the same  :non: .

You need to edit the skin.ini file of your skin.

I don't really understand what you mean...

I don't want to get you annoy for repeating or anything. What I want to ask in my post, is - is there another software other than TrueTransparency that delivers an effect of transparency, that matches more with the genuine Vista Ultimate glassy transparency?

WindowsBlinds (costs 20 USD, though) using this theme: http://fediafedia.deviantart.com/a [...] 1-81684745
