| dribbler Profil: New Penguin | I cant find a post where someone has done a system restore after having problems from installing the vista pack. Wouldnt this be the best way to just revert back to the exact system setup you had before installing the vista pack? There are heaps of posts asking how to uninstall and saying that the uninstall did not work properly etc etc but I can not find anything where someone has done a system restore. I'm sure a system restore would work to totally get ris of the vista pack and put your system exactly as it was pre vista. wouldn't it????? Cheers. | |

I dont know enough about computers to know the answer to that, thats why I asked the question because I would like to know the answer. If anyone has tried a system restore can you let me know if it went back to pre vista. Cheers.
Skunkie Profil: Penguin Pro | It really depends on how often your system restore refreshes the last currently saved system configuration. It won't hurt to try the system restore, it won't delete files.

But can I uninstall it, and then use windows restore for recover icons?
cus I used Tweak UI to recover icons. It did recover most of the icons, but still there is some icons didnt change like folder icons, calc, paint, and maybe some more.

When you uninstall the Bricopack, it should restore the original icon/theme
Breakfastclub Profil: Modo | Just refresh the icon cache by deleting the IconCache.db file (it´s hidden) from your profile directory (usually C: / Documents and Settings/Username/Local Settings/Application Data). It will be automatically recreated.
Or use this tool, download TweakUI (from Microsoft, right side), install it - at the bottom you have the option "REPAIR", chose repair icons (reboot) ... Message edited by Breakfastclub on 11-27-2008 at 04:29:58 PM
